Anyone managed to buy a conversion kit through cycle to work scheme? My wife wants an ebike but 1K doesn't seem to buy you much. She has a Kona Dew Plus that would probably lend itself to being converted.
Yes, I did. We have the Halfords cycle to work scheme where I work and I purchased a 250W front wheel kit to power our cargo bike. I went through https://www.e-bikesdirect.co.uk/ . They were very quick and efficient to deal with. Our kit doesn't seem to be listed any more and it looks similar to the generic ebay kits, but I liked the idea of the money saving through the scheme and the additional Warranty of buying through an actual shop. Had it 6 months or so and it's working fine.
