With time on my hands now I'm clearing out the basement and garage. Between gumtree and ebay I'm amazed that things like used ice spiker tyres and 26" conti supersonic stuff are selling for possibly more than I probably paid new for!

Strange times!

I have also followed the same path as others.

Listed a Nomad 1 that I bought 5 years ago second hand and its almost reached the same as I paid for it then.

I feel bad for people paying the amount that its currently at and still had the crazy "wot u want 4 bik m8" messages. Ive tried to be honest in the listing, its got a fair bit of cosmetic damage, which I have stated all the way through the description.

Im scared people think its a modern bike and havent read the description properly and when they open the box, it all kicks off

Its a nice bike but crazy money for a fifteen year old bike. Unless Im missing something with it.

Turin what did you get for your mk1 nomad? I’ve a mint one I’ve mainly kept because Of sentimental reasons / waiting for the retro guys to start coveting it. I’m debating shifting it now and the rest of the old gear I’ve accumulated if prices are reasonable, it’s been a long time since I’ve sold something and I’ve run out of space for a new bike 😉

Straight steerer rebas seem to be going to decent money, and mine are on the kid carrying bike!

I've been off loading a heap of stuff that's been cluttering the loft up too. Began as I had the time to list it properly and yes - been staggered at what I've got for it.
As long as it's honestly pictured and described then the market decides....
I've seen items crop up here, re-purposed and enjoyed. Everyone's happy!

Thanks to this thread I have offloaded loads of stuff, rollers, turbos, 2 bikes so far and one about to end on eBay and going well. It is all stuff I would have been happy to take to the skip.

Most of the stuff I have put on gumtree has had offers in excess of the listing price!

I must pull my finger out and get some junk listed. It’s mostly old 26” stuff but that might not matter at the moment.
