Evening
I have been on the lookout for some boost 29er forks and seems nothing around apart from eBay/China specials.
Anyone have any good recommends of which are good ones?
Cheers in advance
eXotic straight leg forks are cheapest and decent enough.
The eXotic Carbon Monocoque are the ones I would go for if you don't want to spend too much and can find Boost ones.
Kinesis Maxlight Boost are more expensive but nice.
In the same position recently I just went with some Salsa steel forks as they were far cheaper and more available (at the time). 400-500g penalty compared to the eXotic forks when the steerer was cut on both so not much between them really.
I would also think about hub swap and rebuild of the wheel you currently have (~£100 max?) as that would open you up to cheaper and more available non-Boost forks.

I've had both - initially the straight leg with the alloy crown/steerer, then changed to carbon monocoque on my current bike when I needed a different A-C length. Both great forks. I was aiming for lightweight hence not going steel forks like above. Hybrid use ('gravel') rather than full-on MTBing for me.
I got this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/T1000-Mountain-Bicycle-Front-Forks-29er-Boost-110-15mm-Thru-Axle-Carbon-Fiber-/264144194228 Tideace T1000 fork last year. Looks to be well made, arrived pretty quickly, and I rode it a fair amount over the winter on my regular MTB trails. That particular model no longer for sale but the seller haidelibikes has ones that look similar.
I have the exotic one with the alloy crown/steerer and have no issues with them.
when I bought them several years ago exotic had their own site and an eBay shop. The prices on these where different so check both before you buy
Cheers everyone.
I did originally think of the exotic ones but none in stock.
Might look at Tideace one if nothing comes up second hand!
A tarn Ali fork came up without an Axel which has proved difficult to source
Aliexpress is awash with them. They must sell loads of them. You hardly ever hear about them failing, at least, only as often as branded ones. Theres one scary pic of a road bike with a snapped fork that gets trotted out whenever this comes up.
Look for a sellers that has sold a high volume of them and has loads of user reviews with photographs.
Maybe have a look on chinertown forum, thats where chinese carbon bikes get discussed.
I may have some Kinesis Max light Boost for sale soon.
Got my eye on some Travers Prong
Need the fork bosses for bikepacking.
What were you looking to spend?
Kind regards,
Max.
