This has never been an issue for me before luckily.
My roadie finished Sunday afternoon for £422 and have no contact about payment since.
I sent a message the next morning saying thanks etc and let me know of any issues/ queries and a follow up this morning.
How long would you leave before reporting or 2nd offer?
I'm thinking 72 hours... Or is that a bit close?
Cheers!
I had this just last week on my fixed grear bike.
They were going to pay on collection which we loosely arranged for the Monday following the weekend. Monday came, no contact. I kept emailing them with no reply, opened an unpaid item case after about six days I think, waited a further three days or so, before cancelling the sale and getting a credit for the fees I would have paid.
Total pita.... The buyer gets an unpaid Mark on their account, I get annoyed.
You may find that you HAVE to wait longer than three days before opening a case, but check the rules under unpaid items.
Blummin ebayers... 👿
I emailed buyer saying if no payment within 24hrs(I waited 2 days) no response I sold to second in line..
Too many folks bidding on stuff there not really wanting 🙁
I would give them a week, I would be pretty annoyed if they took that long, but I think a week is reasonable as a cut off point.
I once did have someone who took a week to pay, then complained they hadn't received it 2 days later, oh how I laughed.
I've said it before but I think I'm about to give up on ebay. Just about to open a case against a seller who hasn't bothered themselves to send out a laptop I paid for nearly 2 weeks ago and hasn't responded to my (polite) enquiries about if it had been posted yet.
Do you still have the bike for sale or did they finally pay?
