Wow that’s some COVID tax on the price!  But 90 degree head angle, so I’m out.

Certainly looks like its been recently serviced judging by the state of the drivetrain and general filth all over it.

Only £2980 overpriced as well.

Good value given they're offering free postage. It's certainly 'one of a kind'.

I get anxious about pressing the buy it now button by mistake whenever I look at these.

It's obviously just had one quick-but- quite- muddy ride out since that recent service.

Well spotted 😛 Knock the 0 off the end and it's still overpriced. Sad how deluded some folk are.

Crikey. I wonder if the button head bolt in place of a chainring bolt came as part of- or in addition to- the service.

Makes me sad there are such chancers around. Hopefully no one falls for it.

Front end looks like it's had a proper spanging.

Just been looking at the reviews for that seller. Do you think that at any point when packing the microcassette recorder he (or she) wondered where the *!&% their chewing gum had disappeared to? lolz

I really don't see the fuss...
Lots of old bikes go for stupid prices on ebay all the time and in many cases fitting them with retro original components fetches more.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Specialized-S-Works-Epic-Fox-brain-forks-xt-3x9-26-Thomson-mavic-48cm-frame/154082834247?hash=item23e00d7747:g:cEEAAOSw8DZfW0Cs

26" XC ... "rim is cracked and scrap."
Minor play in one of the bearings.
Very small dent on the down tube.
Shock loses air after about a week.

and it hasn't even got "original parts"

The welding round the BB should keep the centre of gravity nice and low.

Do they actually sell though. Also the one you have provided as an example is about £600 overpriced whereas the one in OP is about £2950 over priced. Clearly nobody is going to pay £3,000 for it so the money laundering comment is probably correct although not sure how that would work.

He sells it to himself?

I've always wondered if these daft ebay adverts are deluded fools or some sort of scam. But then again if you have to ask its generally best to assume SCAM!

Makes the STW classifieds look reasonable

Sounds viable.

Would be far easier to just list it on gumtree I guess but ebay probably lends an air if authenticity.

I once "sold" something for £1m on ebay, was hilarious until final value fees came in. Then less so. Considerably.
