Last time, it was two in the hold luggage, two in the bike bag. Had to declare them and it was signed off with their check in staff.

Wasn't going to get away with it any other way as they showed up in oversize baggage x-ray.

In general (not EasyJet specifically) I find it's not worth the hassle.

Jet2 guidelines were 4 maximum IIRC, didn’t stop them asking if I had any at check in.

They went through anyway but would probably just buy a couple at my destination next time.

It depends on the airport.  Generally the guidelines are 2 x 35g are ok, however in Poland and Czech we have been asked to remove them.

A mate who takes a bike regularly never declared them. Until they were flagged in his bike bag and the bike missed the flight (had to pick it up a day late). Now he just buys them at the nearest bike shop at his destination - too posh to pump!

Fine all over the world....

Manchester hard no, though a pilot on here mailed me the regs that day they are fine so I might be complaining about them removing mine.

Seems like a lottery in the UK which is a pain but probably amazing prime delivered to your accommodation and gifted to your host, guide or accommodation isn't a bad idea.

I flew EDI to GVA return a couple of weeks ago on easyJet. Checked their terms beforehand and understood we could take up to 4 cartridges per person.  We took 4 in a single piece of hold baggage on way out.

On the return I forgot to remove another 2 carts that I'd left out there when I was there earlier in the summer so returned with 6 x 16g carts in our hold baggage and there were no problems.

Check the "dangerous goods" section on the easyJet website. As they are listed there as ok to take in cabin or hold I did not proactively say they were in our bag!

It's the airport not the airline that govern/ enforce this afaik.

Bournmouth (to Majorca) are really hot on this. 2 each max.  My mate tried to get two in the bike bag, two in luggage and they caught it.

Flew at the weekend with Easyjet.

I didn't declare 4 in the bike box and it was fine both ways.

Another mate asked and this is what happened vv

Last time, it was two in the hold luggage, two in the bike bag. Had to declare them and it was signed off with their check in staff.

The Easyjet regs don’t matter as much as the airport regs overrule them. On EasyJet from EDI to GVA a couple of months back I was told it was 2 cartridges per person but I reckon you could argue/get away with two per hold bag.

Flew with a couple of cylinders from Manchester to Malaga last year, and Heathrow to Marseilles this year, via Jet2 and BA respectively. Contacted airlines, who were fine in both cases, although BA wanted my booking reference so they could be logged.  In Manchester they were in hand luggage, and picked up and refused by security.  Showed them the OK from Jet2, and the IATA guidelines (and then showed the supervisor), and they were allowed through.  At Heathrow I popped them in the bike box, and declared them at check-in with my e-mail from BA security - no issues.  I did leave the CO2 cylinders with my hosts in Spain and France, my Spanish and French not being good enough to argue the toss.
