Does anyone have experience with the sizing on the Eastway Flat bar bike range from a few years ago (2014-15). A friend says they have a size small that could be suitable as I was after one for my father. He is usually a medium/large size but I have been looking at the sizing for this range and it appears the geometry sizing does not match up for their sizing in regards to S, M, L etc. Has anyone ridden a Size Small in the Flat bar range and what is their real world opinion on them. I know in road bikes there is only so much adjustment that can be made with regards to stem length and minor seat adjustment aft and height a lot more so.
Reading the measurements on the sizing chart it appears the Small Flar bar is around a 56cm which is a medium/large size in my experience with a 16cm length headtube and virtual TT of 585mm.

I have had a look around at other hybrid models (trek & boardman) since I posted this and it seems they all have very long virtual top tube lengths compared to road bikes and mountain bikes as my road bike ideal virtual top tube is around the 565 mark but that is on a drop bar set up. I know there is room on a hybrid to change stem height and length but I guess the geometry has to work and feel comfortable. I have an old 26 diamond back that is almost a road bike geometry but that is on the large side. I was looking for a more compact fit?
