Just wondering if anyone knows if the MTB trails at Eastridge are open currently? I remember seeing something about the FC doing some work and some trails being closed?
Also I've only ever ridden the DH runs there pushing up. What are the XC loops like compared to say Cannock etc? What are the climbs like and do the descents use the DH tracks? I can ride down most things but my colleagues who want to branch out may not be so keen if its mnore severe. Also my fitness means though I can ride down most stuff I can't always climb it!

The red loop is open and was riding nicely last weekend. Only DH95 is open in terms of DH tracks, 98 & Student champs are both closed at the moment.
The red loop I guess is a steeper nastier version of the Monkey at Cannock. Lots quieter and more fun. There's no groomed 'lower cliffs type sections and conversely no horrendous braking bumps. Lots of roots and jagged stones
It's going quite nicely at the moment BUT it's not a trail centre in the normal sense of the word, it's a hand cut trail with no weatherproofing, compared to most other trail centre it's steep, tight, muddy and rooty. Which is ace but not if you're after all weather flow.
