I probably missed the boat on this one, but looking at Easton's site it seems to be mostly road stuff now. Stuff like Havoc and Haven bars and stems have gone. Only in the archive section. Only bars are road drop bars. Stems are all xc / road. Wheels are road and gravel.

Likewise online shops just show discontinued or limited stock on MTB stuff.

Yes they have dropped MTB stuff. Easton are now the road brand, Race Face are now the MTB brand. Makes sense.

Yep. As raceface and Easton are now under the same umbrella ownership, they decided to stop competing against themselves. Raceface had the mtb market, and Easton took the road market.

I believe that they are owned by the same company as Race Face and went through a re-branding where all the MTB stuff is now badged as Race Face and all the road ect stuff remains Easton.

Ah well. Had some parts to replace and wanted to keep matching the other Easton bits. Mix and match then I guess. Raceface stuff is similar-ish design though.

Bars and stem, though got Havoc carbon bars on one bike that need replacing and it has a Havoc stem, and other bike has Havoc carbon bars but needs stem.

But I could just get new bars and stem of another brand for one bike and swap the other stem over 😀

Actually, Thomson Elite X4 stem is very similar design to the Havoc stem.

Was going to say I have a very good condition set of black Haven alloy bars 740 (or might be 750) width.

I agree. Only carbon bars I trusted. Thinking about it, they're the only carbon bars I've ever used.

The Haven stem is similar to the X4, not the Havoc. As it happens thats also the same stem as the RF Turbine R is identical to a Haven but only 35mm. The Turbine is similar enough though in 31.8 if thats what you're needing.

If you want a 31.8 dead-ringer for a Havoc try the latest SRAM Descendent.

If you liked the easton get yourself a Turbine R stem and Next R bars for the bike that's ok with lighter carbon bars, you'll not be disappointed.

There's a variety a X4. I was thinking of this one

Yeah. Been great bars for me. Just one of them I've developed a surface chip/cracking under one of the clamps, probably from a crash. Though it seems structurally fine, but being carbon it may be wise to replace.

Those were the shorter Thomson stems?  Longer ones were less blocky.

Shame about the RF/Easton thing as I traditionally wouldn't have touched anything RF with a bargepole* but love Easton.

*Now have SixC cranks - go figure?!
