Or recommendations for an Edinburgh bike shop that can change/fettle the free hub off a Genesis Caribou?
After the place I originally took it to (not in Edinburgh) twice failed miserably.
I'm lead to believe that it's a known problem and they were being replaced under warranty, but I'm not too bothered about paying as long as wherever I take it to can actually do it. Work commitments are making it difficult for me to take it to my usual LBS in Perth.
What you got?
The Bike Works - 29-30 Argyle Place, Edinburgh EH9 1JJ
Excellent service/know how - only place that touches my bike.
The Bike Works, as above, and Pedals, on Bruntsfield Place, would probably be my starting points for Edinburgh bike mechanics.
+1The Bike Works - 29-30 Argyle Place, Edinburgh EH9 1JJ
Open late too
ANother votew for Bike Works. Best mechanics in Edinburgh, no exceptions. My bikes have never ran as well as when I raced for the shop team !
Pedals on Bruntsfield Place gets my vote
The Cycle Service on West Richmond Street (Pleasance area) are very good.
Eastside Bikes is good. I used them a couple of times when I was over that end of town. Had them service an alfine hub and fix a broken spoke. All good, would probably still be using them if I was based there.
+1s for both The Bicycle Works and the Cycle Service. Good opening times for dropping off / picking up too.
always pedals - 0131 629 6065
Eastside bikes are spot on .. As are bike works 😀
Is pedals still there? I walked past the other day and it looked like they had closed or moved.
