New bike (used).
Stripping various bits that aren't quite right to sort them out.
It's a Dartmoor Hornet. Gorgeous. For my teenager. He will soon be flying.
The cranks were badly setup, not clamped up enough, spacers all wrong.
It's a E13 TRS (I think) and I've never used E13 stuff before.
So I've worked out I need a new tool to turn the cups. Got round that today because cups were not actually tight. ! .
But when I google spacer selection it tells me to use for
73mm shell (by my measuring) =
1x2.5mm drive side
No Nondrive side
No spindle spacer
When I put this together it results in massive offset. Drive side arm 1mm from chainstays, nd arm miles away. Just wrong.
Any help?
There abound be an adjustable collar on the nds arm to take out the play / pre-load bearings, is it in place?
No.
Ive been seeing that adjuster collar adaptor thing on my google findings.
The crank arms just say 'e-thirteen', theres no mention of 'trs' anywhere.
have they always had that adaptor? Maybe its an older version.
Their website aint much help...
D side is 3mm gap away from cup
ND side is flush
Do i just choose my own spacer arrangement to get it right?
Or is this gap where an adaptor should be?!
