Hello, has anyone got the new(ish) E-Thirteen 'Enduro' tyres.? I'm in the market and keen to know what they're like.? Particularly interested in how they sit on the 35mm Rims as I have the Hope 35W.

Thanks.

I've got the TRS + in the grippy compound up front 2.3 is slightly wider than equivelent dhf on i29 rim, 29er , it's a good tyre, not ridden in mud much but good in loose stuff & over rocks

An editor of a well known mountain bike magazine (not a million miles away from this very website) manged to split one minutes into a week long riding holiday last year, on a gentle descent through a grassy meadow.

make of that what you will

Not sure what you can make of that - the tyre either had a fault and split, or there was something in the grass that he hit.

I split a brand new maxxis high roller while riding home from my LBS a few years back. Turns out I hit something rather sharp. Sheet happens.

FWIW I tried a set of e13 tyres a year or two ago and they were great - had a TRS R up front and a TRS + out back, mounted on 30mm rims.

I liked the profile and they were super grippy, although perhaps a little draggy on the climbs. I would have loved to keep em on my bike, but they did come up pretty big on the 30mm rim so would rub my chainstays under hard cornering.
Would definitely recommend them, but make sure your frame has ample clearance. Mounted to a 35mm rim I reckon they'd come up pretty huge!

E13 have updated those tyres... reviews of the old ones were fantastic. Newer ones less so..  not up to much on roots and wet ground supposedly
