You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
My wife is looking for road/gravel type e-bike as a car replacement (for commuting and journeys into the nearby towns 5-10 miles away). She's not new to cycling but this will be used as a tool to get from A-B more easily/less sweatily, not as a fitness thing. The spec she’s after as I see it is…
- Drop bars
- Capable of towpaths/fireroads
- Road orientated gearing (not 1x, 50t big ring) to be able to push faster (this is coming from her, not me…)
- Rack and pannier mounts
I personally would really like a Ribble CGR so have suggested she looks at the CGR AL e, she’s been looking at the GT eGrade bolt.
Does anyone have any recommendations or thoughts for picking a bike for this sort of use case? We’ve no real experience of e-bikes so looking for things that might not be immediately apparent.
(Please no whinging about the merits of e-bikes!)
Don't know what budget she has, but this seems a great buy...
