Does anyone rent them out yet?
I need some, for let's say, not such committed bike riders on a big group ride we're off on.

What area of the country? Best bet might be a (paid for) demo from a dealer for a day. If it’s more than a day could be tricky, I suspect the hire market is vanishingly small (see also- normal road bike hire in this country....).

I think you're going to struggle. Wouldn't flatbar hybrids or mtbs on semislicks be ok though, especially if you're going to have to limit the group to ebike assistance speeds?

Based in the south east, but going abroad so want them for a week. I think hybrids may have to do.
