On my touring / general purpose bike I have a dynamo (6w) hub and respective german lights. Jolly good they are too.
This winter the bike is also going to be bedecked with a croozer for the nursery runs once my wee boy starts Nursery.
In an ideal world, when ma boy is in the croozer, the mudguard mount light will be off, and the Dynamo would power 2xRed red lights on the handlebar of the trailer. The spade connectors on the existing rear light are super fiddly and fragile so swapping them over often won’t work.
so, has anyone managed to set up a trailer connection for a Dynamo / trailer. Due to the length of the train, bike and trailer are decoupled at the end of each cycle…

Could you just drop a cheap dynamo or bottle hub on one of the trailer wheels? Might be a lot less faff than connecting/disconnecting the wiring every time.
Otherwise, you could wire a European style socket/plug on the end, dead quick to connect/disconnect
Sounds like a lot of faff - not saying it can't be done it's just a case of time. How ever faced with a similar issue of my commuter having Dyno lights We run 2 rechargable battery lights on our trailer for nursery runs . 1 then moved onto the tag along for nursery runs.
Will be going back on the croozer shortly for number 2
You could wire a more robust connector onto the end of the rear light run so that you can unplug the mudguard light, plug in an extension lead mounted to the trailer with second light at the end.
But that would almost certainly be far more faff than just putting a battery light or two on the back of the trailer. Having used a trailer for the last year one more thing to have to remember to connect is the last thing I’d want to be honest.
