I'm looking for a dynamo hub and was set on getting the SP PD-8 then noticed that Alpkit do their own version which is much cheaper. Are they basically the same thing but branded differently?

The Alpkit one doesn't have a 15mm axle option - might not matter to you of course.
Is that the same one as the exposure revo too?
Revo
SD Pd8
Juice
All three are the same hub
All three are the same hub
They're not, but they do look similar.
I think the SP's are Taiwanese rather than Chinese.
FWIW I've just built a wheel with the Alpkit hub. It works is all I can say so far.
I stand corrected the juice one from split is Chinese and 12 grams header and could be different internals/quality of. Did have too look twice as external at a glance the juice looks like a PD hub
But the revo was made by PD for exposure though.
Thread resurrection - anyone got any experience of the Alpkit hub over a few months' use?
