I'm going for a dynamo setup for touring. From this forum along with the rest of the inter webs, I was gonna go for this for the hub:

http://www.sp-dynamo.com/8seriesdynamo%20hub.html

An exposure revo light and sine wave reactor to charge the iPhone and garmin..

Now 2 questions:

Is there anything better than this setup? (cheaper be nice too)..

How do you go about a switch or a junction to connect them both up?

Not sure about the charging, but I have the SP/Revo combo on my winter bike and it is excellent.

Same as Sam here. Very impressed with it. Redeye rear light is good too.

Ditto. Excellent setup. The stand light can run out of juice on long ascents ( or maybe that's just my rubbish speed!), so a helmet lamp comes in handy as an adjunct. 😀
