Looking for a deal on a 27.5 fork and noticed DVO Diamond D2s at Winstanleys for £300. Seems too cheap given todays fork prices - anyone have any knowledge of them? Spares/servicing ok?
Or they have the D2 for a bit more??
Sorry, no experience of them myself - but not many people are after 27.5 forks now so that price is not ludicrously cheap.
If it's this, I'd get one just because it's actually called "Beryl".
I had a set of the older DVO diamonds on my old bike, I thought they were great really nice feel when riding. Servicing was fairly easy to do once you have the correct tool and spares easy enough to get hold of.
Not tried a DVO fork but had a Topaz rear shock a few years ago. At the time it was a step up on Fox/RockShox performance, probably still is, so based on that I'd be happy give one of their forks a go.
I noticed DVO had forks on Sport Pursuit as well.
I've had Diamonds and Onyx forks. Pretty good forks and the OTT works well (though I some users have had issues with them winding/unwinding) both forks I had suffered from stiction which took a bit of sorting out with new seals and then different fork oil.
Love my Onyx D1s. Only forks I've been able to get right for my scrawny weight without a revalve.
Easy to service, parts aren't particularly hard to get hold of, and technical queries with the manufacturer have always been ready to get resolved.
I’ve had 2 Diamond D1s and an Onyx SC and I really liked them both.
Smooth, adjustable and serviceable.
They don’t seem to have become massively popular and there have been deals about for a while so what you’ve found at 27.5” isn’t an unbelievable deal and I would hesitate to recommend them particularly at a chunk under the main brands.
