Hi all,

My wife's doing a trail run in Exmoor next Saturday so I'm going to chuck the bike in the car and get out for a ride. Dunkery Beacon and Horner Wood sound like great places - would anyone please be kind enough to tip me off on some good bits, best way round to do it etc?

Guess I'll probably start in Porlock and look to be out about 3 hours.

Many thanks,

Jono.

its a great area to ride - basically get an os map - follow bws for smoother stuff - find the byways for more rocky stuff - I LOVE exmoor area - email me if you want some pointers

If you're starting in Porlock and going over Dunkery, hope you like climbing because it's pretty stiff. Lovely place to ride on a good day.

Thanks Snowpaul, have dropped you an email.

I don't mind a climb, but its got to be in my own time. 🙂

You can also get the road up the beacon if you are getting tired.
Great riding, I imagine Horners Wood will be very slick at the moment.
