Planning on heading up to Dunkeld and surrounding area for a weekend of riding.

Any recommendations of where to stay?

Doesnt need to be fancy

Summer may be busy.

We stayed here before: a couple of the flats were above the bar (So noisy), but a couple were great. Most folk rent a caravan / chalet thing.

There are wigwams at Bankfoot, Newmill farm, about 10 mins drive away. You used to be able to ride from Bankfoot to the Hermitage.

Stayed in the Travelodge in Perth (Broxden) last time I was up that way, about 20 mins drive to Dunkeld but we ended up going to Ballo instead one day as the weather was looking better. Ballo is definitely worth a look if you're in the area

I have booked here for June for me and my son, it's a good price for a cabin, gets decent reviews, I guess we'll see!

Cheers for this. I'd looked in the past and not found anything decent value within riding distance but I'd never considered there'd be static caravans nearby.
