May be a stupid question so apologies. Currently running hydro sti's on my croix. At some point I would like to run it single ring like all my other bikes. Is there a way to lock the gear change movement of the sti so only brake works? Or I guess I could just lock the cable into the down tube mounted adjuster.
Or just remove the outer and leave it as it is?
Also, slightly on a tangent, I have a 105 front mech which has a plastic chain ramp. This is looking really worn and close to flapping off.... Anyone else notice this? Will my shifts turn to toffy once this wears to the metal cage (I am guessing not as the cage will just push chain over).
