I was changing the oil in some 2010 Revs today, a job I had done before on other Rockshox forks with no problems so I was pretty confident all would be well.
Got everything back together OK but realised the forks were at full extension before I had put the air in and were completely impossible to compress. The wise will be smirking now!
Somehow I had had a complete mental block and put the 123ml of oil in the bottom leg and the 5 in the top.Whoops.
At this point I gave up as it was freezing in the garage, it will give me something to do tomorrow if I want to get out on Sunday!
I put the lowers on back to front once 😳
I'd certainly never make a silly error while working on my forks

that's almost as untidy as my garage.
Ha ha, quality error.
I did the same with my old forks (too much oil)

That's the bedroom.

North wind - brilliant lol
Northwind, do you REALLY need TWO watering cans AND a hose pipe? Hmmmm?
And what's with the can of Pork Juice on the floor? Got some dry pigs have we?
other day thought, I'll torque the base nuts up later (also escaping cold garage) when I put the fork back in. Ill just use this spanner for now. Cold hands + not really thinking = base nut + threaded end snapping off and flying into the unknown of the floor
Of course they won't supply the air piston shaft on its own, only as a complete setup with piston head and negative springs setup
Its not like I don't have a torque wrench
Ork Juice
One watering can for weedkiller, one for water. And a hose for air.
James, Fox forks?, we can replace base studs on air assemblies depending on model
b@lls, already have the replacement assembly. But yes, an '08 F120 RL
Replaced crush washer on my 2010 revs y'day and they appear to be leaking still. Evidently doing something numpty. On the ride previously forks sticking at top of travel, so presumed little lube left.
Yes?
