I have a 2nd hand Giant Trance which I've always thought the paint looked a bit dull. Today I bumped into another rider with the same year and model of Giant Trance and the difference was huge. I'm not sure if its how / what it was cleaned with by the previous owner.
Anyway, does anyone know of a way to restore its shine? I always wash it with Dirt Juice and I've tried polishing it with pledge but it still looks a bit crap.
You could either go down the GT-85 and a cloth route or use car polish with a top coat of wax. Either way, it'll be a temporary solution at best until the sheen wears off.
I've got a can of the Muc Off Silicon Shine which helps between washes, but temporary at best. Spray it liberally onto a cloth and wipe all the tubes, I don't spray it around the bike because I don't want to contaminate the disks.
you could try a car polish like Autoglym resin polish or T-cut (at your own risk, test on an inconspicuous area first etc.)
