Hi there,

A while ago i posted about which new forks to get for my rc200f8.

After lots of different opinions i went for the DT SWISS XRC 100 LTDs as i got them at a very good price.

I probably did around 100 miles in Dorking before the lockout stopped working, and after another 100 or so in Dorking and 20 pretty tough miles in the Afan Valley, i noticed the bushings around the seals have a bit of play in them, which seems to have increased after the epic Skyline Trail.

Does anyone have any experience with these forks or has anyone had the same problem? They are meant to have a 200 hour service life.

If i want to send them back i guess i've got to remove the race and take apart the front end of the bike to send them back, then i'll probably have to wait a few weeks before getting them sorted or replaced. Plenty of riding to be busy with and no suitable spare...!

Thanks everyone...

Wilf

Yeah get used to that! Learn to service them yourself, otherwise you'll never have forks to use!

Adjust the barrel adjuster on the lockout lever. I think it's in the instructions how to do it - assuming they are the same as Pace.

Re the play - how much play? A small amount is normal on most forks.

And you don't have to remove the headset race to send them back in.
