Hi all, I'm trying to confirm which DT Swiss front wheel I have (and therefore which hub it uses) so I can try and source a new axle for it. The QR skewer corroded itself in and I had to cut it out (tried release oil, heat, brute force…).

As per the pictures below, I think it's a X1900 spline 29 (factory wheelset) but don't know which model year, I bought them second hand years ago. They're standard 100mm QR with 6 bolt fitting.

The closest I can tell is that's it maybe uses the same axle as a 370 hub as per Manual The bearing size is correct (6000 10 / 26 x 8 mm) and the assembly appears the same (end caps) but the spoke flanges are way different (straight pull for mine vs J-bend on the 370). I can only find the axle, part ref hrcxxx00n4252s available for sale in EU only (hollandbikeshop) and Madison confirm they have no stock of this discontinued part.

I took a punt and bought this but the diameter was too thick.

The wheelset is cosmetically tatty but mechanically sound so I don't want to have to get a new front wheel when I'm fixing the bike up to sell it on.

Is anyone able help me to identify and confirm which hub this wheelset uses? Thanks.

Not sure if this is any help but I had those exact rims, they were OEM fitment on a 2014 BMC Trailfox TF03, probably the same wheels (are they 28h?) Mine were 15mm front, 142x12 rear.

Yep, think they're 28h (will confirm when I go out the shed again). Thanks that's a big help and another avenue to pursue.

I take it it doesn't have the barcode still in the rim, or a serial number on the hub (usually on the brake side)? DT were super helpful for me with another OE wheelset I had but it took a bit of effort to ID the exact right one since they reuse names and numbers so much.

Ooh not sure. They're taped up from previous tubeless install so will remove the tape and have a look. I can't see anything on the hubs but as you can see in the pics the paint has flaked a lot around the spoke holes.

On my other ones, I had centrelock adaptors and they'd covered over the serial number, finding that was like finding the rosetta stone šŸ™‚

Email DT Swiss USA tech support with the serial number off the hub. You'll probably have a reply in a couple of hours of their working day.

Thanks both. I found a serial number(?) Sticker in the rim bed after removing the tape. I can see a serial number etched onto the hub behind the disc mount but can't read it due to corrosion. So I have emailed both UK and US tech teams at DT to see if it provides anymore info. Thanks again.

Well it seems my initial investigation was correct anyway and my axle is HRCXXX00N4252S which I can't get in the UK, bugger!

The UK service centre can get pretty much anything, have you contacted them?
