Have just recieved my first Fatbike and was wanting to know which way to go ?
I was originally hoping to buy some Nextie 80mm rims direct, and run tubeless but obviously they are now under exclusivity and the price now reflects this.
I then thought about BR710 rims but although they are light they seem nigh on impossible to setup sans tube.
So what say you?

Thread resurrection, but I was debating the same carbon Vs alu question and googled it.

Apparently the solution to tubeless is pallet wrap (like clingfilm, but a little tougher). 5 layers is enough and weighs 16g apparently!

I had a result and got Nextie's but the 710's are supposed to be a doddle to get tubeless, I had based my fears on a set of BR2250's which had failed to remain inflated after several attempt's over several week's.
