DT Swiss 6 bolt to Centerlock adapter kit - any issues or pretty reliable?

I need a new rear wheel and have found a good deal on a DT Swiss wheel, however it comes with a centrelock hub rather than a six bolt. Ideally I don't want centrelock but the wheel is a pretty good price so thinking about it

Has anyone had any issues in the long run with the conversion adapter, ie play, wobble etc? And the tool to tighten the nut - is that just a external bottom bracket spanner or do you have to purchase the special park tool?

If I need to buy a tool and conversion kit it doesn't make the purchase that attractive.
