Goodbye dry trails, you once shone bright.
Like sunlight through dusty titanium.
You allowed me to feel like Aaaron Gwin, nailing each berm.
Did I float through the air like Brian Lopes, dropping onto rocks, flying?
With a chain coated in a gentle film of oil, and every steel link singing,
The miles passed in a flurry.
As legs and sidewalls clung within a growing film of dust, their every witness,
The torrid breath of the dry summer trail.

You illiterate lot, an elegy is a poetic lament, usually for the dead.

Ordered a bender fender xl and rear fender from muckynutz today.
Can't remember the last time I washed my bike, looks like that's about to change to returning home from every ride with a bicycle shaped mud pie.

WTF is an elegy?

It's when you don't like a certain type of food so you pretend there's a medical reason you shouldn't have to eat it. But that's not important right now.

What we need is for lots of people to buy and fit mud tyres, mudguards, waterproof clothing and seal skinz socks.
That should help turn the weather back to unseasonably dry.

I spent a little time last night replacing studs in my ice spikers, that's probably raised the ambient temperature by a degree or two.
