Just had bike back from Kona with a new frame , they mentioned it might be an idea to get dropper serviced . It's a KS Supernatural just over 3 years old , it's actually been the most reliable thing on the whole bike ! Anyway I've just booked a service with Southcoast Suspension , seems a reasonable price as it includes a replacement internal cartridge as well . My theory being that for about £90 I should have another 3 years use out of it but I'm wondering if as it's still going up and down alright maybe it would be better to let sleeping dogs lie ? Decisions decisions !

Do you get the old cartridge back to keep as a spare?

I got Jungle to do my old KS, it was IIRC £75 and the service was basically "throw everything inside the post in the bin and fit a new one". Pretty damn good tbh

SCS are very good, he’s done my seatposts and suspension since he started up.  Always very professional and top job.

Northwind I reckon that's what South Coast do, cartridge is £60 on E Bay? So I think it's out with the old in with the new (upgraded apparently whatever that means?) New bushings and bobs your uncle? I was told once that the Supernatural is better than some of the newer posts so seems worthwhile.

If it's working ok with no sag I 'd regrease  it myself and carry on running it. No need to replace the cartridge unless it's knackered.

It's simple process to regrease it.

I've watched that video looks a piece of cake with what looks like a nice brand new post 😀Bit different with a 3 year old one, my mate tried to do his couldn't get it apart ended up sending it to Jungle.

Getting the DU bush to move can be the sticking point. You have to yank it quite hard to get it to come apart.

I’ve serviced my KS supernatural as it sagged 1/2 inch. The hard bit was getting air into it.

If it were mine I’d grease the collar and keys and call it good if it’s working properly and only open it up properly if it plays up.
