Hi all

I've done lots of searching to be honest, and I'm mind blown so looking for some recent recommendations please. It's for a 2018 YT capra 31.6.

The current post is an E thirteen TRS+, which hasn't really let me down yet. But with its simple mechanical design, it feels basic and get a fair bit of rotational play. I thought about moving this post to my winter hack hardtail, ideal with its simplicity and upgrading the capra one.

Haven't got loads of spare cash. Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance

if you haven't got loads of spare cash just service and replace the keys and bushings in your E13.

Pretty much all droppers except the reverb and bikeyoke are a "simple mechanical design". If simple is working for you why change it?

It's a faulty default answer but for a good reason.

Brand X dropper. Just upgrade the trigger lever to a cheap Bonty one if the standard one isn't to your taste.

If you did have a load of cash to spunk on a dropper I'd go for the Bikeyoke.

If not the Oneup .

I've got a Crank brothers highline on one bike - very good, had it for 18 months, and literally not touched it. Not even the cable tension and it works as well now as when i bought it.

The other bike has a brand x as I wanted 170mm drop, I've only had it for 1 week, and 1 ride but for the money seems very good.

To be honest , If I hadn't wanted as much drop as possible (10mm matters) Id have bought another highline, and i do think it feels like its better quality, but I'm happy with both. Both are better than the reverbs I've had before.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Geex- I'm in need of a dropper on the hardtail winter bike, and just thought well I might as well kill 2 birds with one stone and upgrade my 'best bike' dropper post.

Haven't got loads of money to spunk unfortunately, spent too much on bikes lately. Bike yoke are fox transfer are out my budget unfortunatley.

I like the sound of the one up post though, any long terms users? I also tend to prefer stuff I can service myself fairly easily, instead of something like the reverb which is a pain.

+1 for the brand x. Cheap and reliable. I haven’t even had to upgrade the lever

Another vote for the brand x.  I’ve got a giant contact on my other bike and the brand x is better.   I find the supplied 1x remote ok but doesn’t feel strong.

I have a brand x and a one up post. The brand x feels cheap compared to the one up and the brand x has developed play.
