My new bike (Occam H30) has one fitted, I’ve never used one before. When it’s fully extended it’s about 30mm too high for me. Can I do anything about that? The top of the fixed part of the post seems to be flush with the seat clamp.
Obviously I can adjust the height as I ride along but I’d sooner not have to if possible.

Depends on the dropper but easiest option may to swap it out for a shorter one. How long is the post?

Some makes have internal shims to drop the travel.

Probably not. PNW have an adjustment which is great, not sure of any others that do.

Had a look at what seems to be the Orbea dropper post spec sheet and I can't see that it is adjustable. If you haven't used it or got it dirty I would imagine they would swap it for a shorter one. Orbea Dropper Link

Speak to your dealer and ask if can be swapped for a shorter one. Otherwise you'll have to flog it on here and buy one.

Assuming you bought from a shop, they really ought to have checked this for you before you took it away. I had similar a few years ago with a Wild FS and there were no shorter (125mm) Orbea ones available so a nice upgrade from new 😁. I need to go down a dropper size on most bikes, currently on a large Levo SL and a medium Giant Fathom, both with 125mm reverbs on them.

It came from Leisure Lakes but as they didn't have one in store it came direct from their warehouse. I'll email them and see what they can suggest.
