Hi guys, when the manufacturer states the length of a dropper post where exactly do they take the measurements from ? I'm wondering if I can fit a 125 or a 150mm in my new frame. Thanks.

Usually from the seat rails to the bottom of the post. If in doubt just Google the post and dimensions to bring up some images.

Welcome to a minefield. You need to know that the distance from the top of the seat tube to the saddle rails is adequate for the dropper you want but you also need to check that there is enough room in your seat tube for the amount of post that will need to be inserted. If you are going stealth you also need to make sure there is enough space for the cable gubbins and for the cable to still make it out of the port
