are any of the more basic dropper posts worth buying. the type with the lever under the seat.
i owned one of the 1st gravity droppers, with the know half way down the shaft. it was pretty ropey if i remember.

I don't know about remoteness ones, but I've owned 4 droppers over the years, the cheap X Fusion was more reliable than the more expensive Reverbs and the new Shimano seems built to last.
