With the Jenn ride around the corner figured i'd treat myself to a new saddle bag.

The Ortlieb QR looks good, anything else worth considering?

Just wrap something round the post and use whatever bag you like.

But that won't feed my itch for new kit.

Go away with your sensible comments, mumble grumble just want new things mumble grumble.

Try the Topeak DP mount

(not a euphemism btw!)

Alpkit Exo Rail for dropper seat posts. It uses the seat rails to add a frame that hangs out behind your seat. Fits their Koala seat packs.

Weecog do a dropper specific and IIRC there is STW members discount too.

Had one for many, many years and it gets covered in shite and just keeps on going.

I'm sure Alex asked this not long ago, I'm useless at the search function but I'm sure there's a thread.

I’ll either be using a Topeak dp mount and my normal revelate saddle bag or nothing out back and use a rucksack instead

I use a standard wildcat tiger bag.

That uses a strap around the seatpost.

To protect the seatpost I have a bottom bracket tube cut down it's length and slotted over the tube.

Works a treat... So far

I use this careadice bag on my dropper post.

https://carradice.co.uk/shop/saddlebags/super-c-saddlepack/

I use a couple of Bunge cords to hold it tight to the saddle.

It doesn't look super pretty but it's 20 years old and is still in mint condition.
