Is it worth the bother refit my dropper.to my full squish before I go to BPW?
I've never been before but the YouTube suggests it's all downhill? (I have no intention of doing anything remotely xc).
It only takes 30 minutes to fit my dropper but if I don't need to then it's one less job.

If you’re doing an uplift, I wouldn’t bother. Plenty of folk there on full DH rigs that don’t have them anyway.

There's some flat bits at the top of some tracks which can be nicer saddle up but they don't last long.

Also, going all the way to the bottom means a short pedal back to the uplift but meh, it's a short walk.

The bigger question is why has your full suss not got a dropper on it all the time?

For the most part you could run at BPW without one and just leave your saddle slammed. Vicious valley has a pedally uphill bit on it and the top bits of some trails have a flat pedally bit across the top - but other than that it’s pretty much all using gravity. So not essential for a dropper there if you’re uplifting.

Yes if it’s easy. Use mine a lot there but it would only be a bit annoying without. It’s a full on day, so a dropper makes it a bit more comfy

If you want. You won’t need it, but sometimes it might help. We didn’t need them when we used to take the DH bikes. If it’s a arse to refit and you haven’t the time then I wouldn’t bother.

For the sake of 30mins effort I’d put it on. From the uplift to the trails and from the bottom of Roots Manoeuvres back to the uplift stick in my mind as being a pain with a low seat but a QR and regular seat post would do. But then I am old and my poor little legs get tired.

I didn't have a dropper yesterday. Just put it up for the climb, stuck it down at the top, stood up..

If you were going to fit it in the future, may as well get it done, if you have it, you will use it.

Like the old days!! It seems such a hardship now though 😂

There were bits that it was a minor inconvenience, like the little wall uphill to junction of vicious valley blue/red... or the top of Sixtapod when i wanted it a bit higher.... but overall, BPW was pretty decent without a dropper... most other rides though, i'd want one.
