Going as far as Corran, beginning Edinburgh/M9. Road and off road suggestions welcome!

Lots of off road possibilities there, too many to list all the details. You have Dumyat at Bridge of Allan, loads of options around Callander and Aberfolye, Ben Vorlich near Loch Earn, Ben lawyers past Killin, West Highland Way at Crainlarich and Tyndrum (all the way to Fort William), Bridge of Orchy there is an out and back towards Loch Etive, chair lift and trails at Glencoe and the most options of all around Kinlochleven.

That's just of the top of my head and covers the whole spectrum from easy going on fireroads to full on descents down mountains.

There's good road riding from Killin up into Glen Lyon, down to Kenmore then back along the south Loch Tay Road. Depending on time / fitness, you can either:
1. Head NW from Killin into Glen Lochay and over the old Hydro Rd (potholed climb, smooth descent) to Pubil at the Loch Lyon Dam.

2. Follow the A827 east of Killin for a few miles, turn left and climb the mahoosive singletrack road past Ben Lawers into Glen Lyon.

In either event, have lunch at Bridge of Balgie, then descend Glen Lyon past Fortingall. TR to the B846 before TR again, cutting back on the bridge over the River Lyon towards Kenmore. Then it's just the S Loch Tay Rd back to Killin.

A grand day out.

Stop at Altnafeadh, up Devils Staircase, down to the penstock, then back again. A very different ride in reverse.
