I'm with green flag and they want an extra £80 for 1 weeks basic overseas cover. This is nearly as much as I pay for 2 vehicles for the whole year, for the super duper breakdown recovery.

Anyone else know of a better (cheaper) way to do it?

Thanks.

Whoever you go with, be aware that if its not easily repairable and the car needs to be recovered to the UK, and the total costs are excessive in relation to its value, some will 'write off' the car as uneconomical to recover and compensate you rather than recover it.

Which is fine if you are not attached to your wheels, but if parting company is painful its worth keeping in mind!
