Hi
Planning a road trip in the French alps this year alpe d'huez, meribel, tarentaise valley, morzine. On plotting the route from alpe d'huez to meribel on google maps takes you round using e and a roads but looking on the map you can use the d927 and d213 for majority of the route and would save considerable miles. The question is has anyone driven this way and what are road conditions any other route advice would be appreciated
Thanks Paul

if I was cycling it I'd go from Bourg over the Glandon (think Marmotte), then at La Chambre go over the Madeleine, then up to Meribel.
does that help?
I actually mean driving between resorts. I just don't know if google is taking the long way due to potential snow during winter months on the passes.
Got something fast with good handling? The D213 looks absolutely stonking. D213
If I was planning a road trip for the KTM, I'd be choosing those roads.
