Can anyone recommend a drinks bottle of about 750ml?
It has to survive spending the day in a school bag without leaking (despite being bashed about) or causing condensation to ruin school books. My default was a Sigg bottle or something of that type as they a bomb proof but they fail on the condensation bit (Anything like insulating sleeves get themselves lost in the first couple of weeks). If it also fitted into a bike cage that would be a bonus but not essential.
Thanks in advance
A standard bike bottle? They don't leak if you shut them properly. My kids are using freebee ones from bike races and they are fine.
Camelbak podium would do thejob
They would leak if squashed though surely? My fave bottle is the Camelbak Podium which has a shut-off valve.A standard bike bottle?
Big Chill version is insulated which may help with condensation.
EDIT: great minds!
What Yak said? I have an old Hope branded one I regularly keep in my work bag.
They don't survive the being bashed about bit and not leaking. We've tried lots of different sorts but most fail on either leaking or condensation within the first couple of weeks (My kids aren't particularly careless but they are definitely kids so telling them to be more careful has an effect ranging between 1min and 2 days)
The camelbak looks promising

Podium.
I use mine on the bikes, on the desk at home, when travelling, wherever. Not cheap if you're only going to use them on the bike, but for overall versatility, faultless.
Chill versions lose a little capacity, by the way. Worth double checking.
Big Chill has more capacity than a standard Podium, 750ml vs 710
Thanks it looks like the camelback
Just be careful with the podium mouthpiece - it can get mouldy quite quickly and I found it quite hard to clean. Other than that it was a good bottle (if a bit pricey).
The lad uses a podium - goes in his school bag, to rugby, athletics etc. and gets a hard time
Didn't survive being driven over by the van.
Another vote here for Camelbak Podiums - both kids use them and they've survived years of abuse and don't leak. Well worth the money.
Elite bottles seem particularly prone to breaking (when dropped on the valve end) - which is a shame as they've both lost a few treasured team branded bottles that way.
Camelback eddy here, doesn't leak a drop, is quite sturdy, lifetime warranted aswell. Only downside is it was 15 quid. Didn't even contain whiskey...
I think I have about 7 Camelbak Podiums. They are blooming excellent. Kids use them in bed (propped up against the corner usually, but often fall over or simlar) - I find them reliably leak proof. Used to keep one with my gym kit, never leaked either
My lad has one of these Nike Sport Water Bottles that he uses for shcool, slung in his bag, gets chucked around all over the shop and it's been faultless
What TeaTwoSugars said.
Kleen Kanteen.
The condensation only happens when you put chilled water in it.
daughter used a camelback eddy, but it started leaking after 2 years use
now she uses a contiga ashland. so far so good. has a lock function.

condensation might be solved if you buy the "chill" version.
camelback was easier to clean
son uses nalgene narrow mouth
Camelbak podium - we have 10 between the 4 of us. I got 4 Cannondale team branded ones for the boys - very unique at sports clubs means they are easy to spot.
My Girls have one of these each... Massively overpriced, but they don't leak in bags and where my eldest has previously destroyed numerous plastic bottles this has survived well over a years worth of daily abuse so far...
Kleen Kanteen
Bought it about five years ago ,now has a great worn in look. Have not bought another bottle since. Fits in a bottle cage and holds 800mm
