I'm trying to download a GPX route from a website to my Garmin Edge 800 & store in routes. But when I look its not there.
When a connect the Garmin to the laptop I can view the route folder & all my saved routes are FIT files.
What am I doing wrong or what do I need to do?

Put the gpx in the "new files" section. Restart garmin. It will magically be in the routes/courses bit.
