Hi, can anyone confirm if 10 speed XT chains will work with an X sync Eagle chainring?
I have NX Eagle on my bike with no spares, but have a spare 10 speed XT mech, chain, cassette and shifter so hoping that if I break the 12 speed I can revert to 10 until I can find parts.
Thanks!

Not so stealth ad, but I have a GX eagle mech and shifter to be listed for sale if your interested? Was going to get it all cleaned up and listed over the weekend. Drop me a message if it helps you out

It should work - the internal size of 10 and 12 speed chains is the same as is the pitch

Internally the same, but externally wider so it'll shift like a crock of shite and probably foul the cogs either side on the cassette.

Not really - he's going 10sp cassette and all the rest. Just running on the 12sp chain ring (1x). Sounds like it should work just fine.

Thanks all, that's reassured me as I was getting paranoid about breaking something and being bike less until when/if supply eases up.

I’m running a 12 speed Shimano chain ring with 10 speed everything else. Works perfectly.
