2 weeks ago i was diagnosed with Bell palsy. Right side of my face is not moving.
Annoying but not painful and takes a while to come back.
Docs gave me some cortisone.
I took 100 mg first 3 days, then 80 for 3 days, and 40 for last 3.
I cant ride the enduro mtb as vision is not good enough but with good eye protection i can ride road and gravel.
Is the amount of drugs high enough to be doping ? How long Does it last ?
No kom as i am still fat but i feel good on the bike.
Are you going to be tested? If likely can you apply for a therapeutic use exemption?
As Bazz says, ask your GP, or whoever prescribed it, to fill in a TUE form for you. They just need to say what they've given you and why and then you'll be fine for that specific drug.
I think you need to send a copy to BC too but wait to be corrected on that
Not worried about testing, just being curious. I dont race.
unless they come in a jiffy bag they're basically useless

I once asked my GP this question about corticosteroids. She gave me a completely blank look and said she had no idea.
If you aren't racing then it's fine - you need the meds.
I dont race.
Then you can't be doping surely?
I think he's asking if it will make him ride faster in a recreational context. I don't know, but if you were Strava-ing everything you'd know 🙂
Obviously much will depend on the exact drug and your dose, but David Millar said that corticosteroids were the most powerful doping drug he used, felt "like a machine".
