Anyone successfully repaired a Maxxis tubeless tyre with a sidewall cut approx 15mm, if so what did you use please.  I can't stomach another £50 on a tyre with otherwise plenty of life..

thanks all.

I've done an internal patch before for a ~10mm cut I think it was a weldtite kit I bought for a fiver with some glue and patches in, for smaller cuts (up to about 6mm) I've found Anchovies seem to last pretty much forever (YMMV) but they probably won't do a 15mm cut

Others will recommend the mushroom type plugs which probably work very well too, and I'm sure you could actually stitch the cut in the wall and splodge glue all over it to affect a workable repair...

Something like this  http://finelytunedride.evopos.com/tip-top-tubeless-repair-kits

Or a Park Tyre boot cut to size and tip top Special Cement.

Maybe not quite 15mm, more like 10mm in a side wall of a DHR2. Used one of the Mushroom jobbies, plenty of decent rubber solution, left overnight with a tube inflated in the tyre, and it saw the remainder of the tyres life out.

Currently running an anchovy in a hole after a pinch flat right on the bead and a mushroom in amongst the tread.

Super glue and a chunk of old tyre!

Dental floss and a strong needle if the patching/plugging doesn't work.

Should be good on a sidewall - near impossible in the tread, though!

Used the motorbike tyre repair kit on a few Maxxis tyres (doubledown aren't so great) lasted the duration of the tyre - here

Used on some pretty big sidewall cuts and all have held air afterwards. Wouldn't be buying Maxxis for the rear again though.

Roughed up the area a bit, plenty of vulc fluid, pull it through and hung them up with pliers overnight.
