We're spending a few week in the Dolomites area this summer, mainly for the Via Ferrata, but we'll be riding too.
Any suggestions for lesser known areas - ideally lift assisted, or where shuttles are available.
We've ridden at Paganella, Val di Sole, Torbole and Canazei (park and Sella Ronda) - I know these arent all strictly in the Dolomites!
Thanks
Good riding round Brixen, smallish bike park with a v fun black and a lot of natural stuff.
We did a several day loop via cortina and then stayed at a hotel owned by a mtb guide who's written the book on local riding. In German. Ah here we go https://www.krone.bz/en/bike/alex-s-favourite-tours.html
Thanks. I've also clocked that looking at Gravity Card parks is useful.
I'm not an expert after one week following wheels on a trip organised by a mate but it's an amazing area we only grazed. I just wish it was a bit more accessible. Btw it seemed like all the lifts we needed were working in September last year including a few that looked like they wouldn't be from online stuff
What about the Lake Garda area? That’s at the foot of the Dolomites. There are chair lifts and apparently there’s some good trails there as well.
We'll be at Val di Sole for the DH in a month. Was hoping to ride the bike park before hand but it doesn't open until after the race so hoping there's some good options nearby.
Then over to Val di Fassa for a few days.
Garda area is great, unless it's wet...
I didn't really rate Val di Sole, but then I'm not up to riding the WC DH course. Didn't find too much off piste there either. Definitely prefer Paganella.
Thanks for the suggestions
