You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Just purchased a Dolan Preffisio frameset in the sales.
Not that light but a solid well finished frame for the money.
Now I have the luxury of building it up with Tiagra (off my old knackered Allez) or Ultegra 6700 (bought drunkenly).
My body is saying Ultegra but my heart is saying Tiagra.
Opinions please....
Depends. If its a winter bike - tiagra. If its your best/race bike Ultegra.
Centaur.
out of interest where did you purchase the frameset ?
EBay has some for 200 quid:

They'll both do the same job.
I've just got something similar, though with track ends. Last night I was rummaging around in boxes finding bits for it. It's probably not worth wasting the Ultegra on it, but as I said they'll do the same job, and it's your choice.
Tiagra.
I know Tiagra the right thing to do, the problem is do we ever have a summer? London's roads cover the bike in the most depressing grey filth in the best of weather. I guess Ultegra will have to wait for the sun.
dmoffitt90 I got the frame, alpina forks, headset and seatpost for £150 from the Dolan website sale. It had already been built up, but was as good as new. They still have some frames only for £70 I think...
