Have wanted to ride this for a while (I appreciate the marmite factor!) but understand that it needs to be dry.

It seems the South of England has been dry for a few weeks but have not done a good job in tracking the weather for mid-Wales.

Can anyone let me know if this is good for it at the moment?

Actually it probably is as dry now as it gets. Although it has rained here over the weekend, it hasn't been proper rain. This week is set to be dry as well so providing nothing changes before next weekend it may well be worth a punt.

Didn't ride the Doethie but we did do quite a few routes in mid Wales over the weekend (Monks Trod, Nant to Mach & back, Teifi Pools - Strata Florida - Claerwen) and agree that a week of dry weather should mean it is dry as it is likely to be.

I rode it in June and the track across the top was still knee deep in water.

I can't imagine it ever being dry 😆

Rode the peat bogs across the Varteg mountain yesterday and was choking in the dust of the bikes ahead... its p*ssing down outside now 🙂
