Just mulling over a project possibility/viability , requirements are

Full suss, 130-150mm travel
Able to take a 150mm fork
Tapered head tube
30.9 seattube edit: or larger, duh...
Internal stealth dropper routing
142x12 rear end
Threaded BB

Last two are desirable but not essential, everything else is non negotiable

Now, all the above is fairly standard kit on modern frames nowadays, so here's your spanner in the works.

Has to be 26" wheels.

Ideally a budget for a second hand one of about £500 second hand

Does it exist? Or is my hardtail going to stay a hardtail forever?

Late model 26" Orange 5?. Won't have a 142 rear end .Not sure about the 30.9 seat tube but if larger use a USE shim?

Yeah that's what I was thinking, wasn't sure about the stealth dropper routing though?

Just checked on the Orange archive site, doesn't look like stealth routing on last26" model (2013)

Banshee Spitfire? May not find the one with stealth routing for £500 though

10mm too much travel if that's a deal breaker, but my late 2014 Alpine 160 had stealth routing. Should be able to easily find a late model 26er Alpine for your budget (only got 400 for mine).

Good luck. I did something similar (parts swap from a cracked hardtail) a couple of years ago and it's been great.

Yeti sb66? If you don't mind doing the bearings yourself as they're prone going through them at some rate... have seen one on pinkbike without a shock for £400...

I think a Whyte 130 or 160 would be a match on most of your requirements save for the travel...

Liteville 301? Mk11 might have internal dropper routing, else there is a guide for doing it yourself.

I had pretty much the same search criteria (including budget) and ended up with a Banshee Spitfire - Did buy it new though so blew the budget!
