In terms of improving your skills as a rider; is it better to ride the same bike all the time (to really get to know its quirks) or to ride different bikes? Or does it make no difference and it's just a case of how much you ride, not what you ride?
Ride a bit of everything, skills are transferable - I learnt to manual on a bmx, and then with a bit of work applied it to my mountain bike.
INMHO - makes no difference (I ride a 5" travel HT, 5" FS or 7" FS - admiitedly a few things I do on the latter I wouldn't on the other 2)and quality not neccessarily quantity. Although for me, quantity does help 🙂
I ride from a stable of 9 bikes. I am awesumz.. 8)
i run similar brakes/saddles/grips/pedals on all my bikes but other than that no.
It's not about the bike.
It's about how many skills courses you can attend at the weekends.
jam bo - good point, I do have the same bars, grips, seat and pedals on the HT & FS, same grips on the bigger bike as well.
