Does it go off?
I have a 1 litre tub of it. Its old. I mean like 10 years old. Maybe more. Its been used (ages ago) and the cap has been on.
About to bleed some brakes. Its fine to use right? Why waste it?

It doesn’t absorb water like DOT, so should be fine.

It'll be fine. If you're racing World Cup DH, probably best to tell your mechanic to bin it just to be safe. If you're just riding around having fun, it'll work fine.

Also, DOT fluid doesn't absorb water if it's kept in a sealed container. It can only absorb water if it's exposed to water, which can only happen if it isn't kept in a sealed container. If it's in a sealed container, it's not exposed to any moisture. A 10 year-old bottle of DOT fluid that has been kept sealed will still work perfectly fine.

Mine is 10+ years old, maybe even 15.... used it recently and works perfectly still.
