I have done a little damage to one eye. It is now sensitive to rushing air which could make things worse. Therefore I need to ride with goggles as glasses won't provide enough protection. So I am looking for recommendations on goggles,
I’ve been looking at the Oakley Wind Jacket as a possible half way house, for similar reasons. Anyone used them?
Melon do some good goggles
try some on with your lid to be sure they fit properly
Sweet protection here. The lenses are a reasonable price to replace and they fit well with both my full face and trail lid
I've got the Melon Optics Diablo Pro - really nice goggles

I liked the look of the Smith ones, but couldn't find spare lenses anywhere, which rather put me off.
Ended up with Oakley O Frame 2.0 Pro. Excellent. And at only £35 I think they're good value.
I'd have a look on Screwfix.

I have a pair , really good for keeping the eyes clean but they are quite small around the eye, so can see the frame all the way around
3M and Bolle look like they do some decent 'anti-fog' safety goggles, which look more like glasses.

I've been buying them directly from Smiths supplier in the UK, though last year treated myself to a brand new pair with a second pair purchased by accident... That may need to go in the other thread!
I took a photo, airbrake googles versus wind jackets, for a size comparison
The wind jackets are nice to look out of, they feel like a google for each eye

Thanks for that. It's Wind Jacket 2.0 I must be looking at... bigger but without full seal like those classics.
I can't help with the new ones, they are not something I would pick
Yeah I use goggles sometimes, as above - most brands are fine.
Have you considered some of those large coverage glasses that have got popular though?
I have some Madison Enigma (recommended on here I think) which I really like.

Not been mistaken for Elvis yet.
These work really well at keeping the wind out. https://www.zoro.co.uk/shop/safety/safety-spectacles-and-glasses/tracker-2-tracpsi-clear-anti-scratch-fog-specs/p/ZT1173781X?utm_source=google&utm_campaign=pla%2B%7C%2BSafety&utm_term=ZT1173781X&utm_medium=pla_css_2&targetid=aud-902363949723%3Apla-394871284978&loc_physical_ms=9045345&dev=c&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA1-6sBhAoEiwArqlGPqG1CnTYh-6OQ64dQ-7d5STbK95UcNnYPNEZW1wECkhvgUa-q98SyxoC1u0QAvD_BwE7
Stick to a big brand like Fox or 100% and you can buy very cheap packs of unbranded lenses on eBay which make them cheaper to live with long term.
I've never had a bad set really, they're all much the same.
Thanks all plenty here to be going on with
For summer try PitVipers
I've found I had to cut away part of the foam around the nose on my Smiths, but they're much nicer than Oakley's for me now that I've done that.
Also; my inner child thinks that Goggles sounds like on of those trained chimps from 1940 Hollywood comedies...In which case, I don't think I'd want to ride with it really.

I've done that with all my goggles for years. The foam always bunches up in the middle of the frame and can pinch your nose. Just cut it away until it feels nice.
Ah this is a timely thread. I'm recovering from a chemical burn on my eyeball (plaster, one of the worst things you can get in your eye the docs said, although the guy with creosote in both his at the hospital didn't look to be having a good time of it either) so I've been wondering about goggles also
Are we talking with a full face helmet or a half shell?
As goggle fitment and comfort can be vastly different between the two.
But i use 100% racecraft with my full face on the odd occasions i wear it. Super comfy.
Not all goggle fit well with all face shapes, how far down your helmet sits on your head etc etc. So defo try before you buy!
